Congratulations to Mary's Pantry at IHM!

We are pleased to announce that Mary's Pantry has won the Inspiration Award from the Food Bank of Central New York on 26th Annual Food Bank Conference at the Holiday Inn on May 1, 2015.
The other two winners are the Lowville Food Pantry and Johnson Park Center for Impact and Foothills Rural Ministry of Jefferson County for Innovation.

The Food Bank of Central New York is a not-for-profit organization working to eliminate hunger through nutritious food distribution, education, and advocacy in cooperation with 252 emergency food programs in Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties. These agencies serve various regions across Central New York and see clients with unique needs.  These agencies have done a wonderful job meeting the individual needs of their clients.

This year at the annual Partner Agency Conference, in celebration of the Food Bank of Central New York's 30th Anniversary, it was decided to highlight not only the volunteers who do such great work at partner agencies but also the agencies themselves for the service they provide to the community.

Every Food Bank partner agency had the opportunity to apply in one of the following categories: Impact, Innovation or Inspiration.  A committee of Board and community members reviewed the award applications. Mary's Pantry at Immaculate Heart in Liverpool was honored with the Inspiration Award for going above and beyond in serving their suburban community. They have not only created an environment that is welcoming and inspirational for their guests, but for their volunteers as well. They are actively and continuously trying to restore dignity, health, and self-sufficiency for their guests.
