    How do I join IHM/SJW Church? 
        Call the office at 315-451-5070 or 315-457-6060, or stop by during office hours.  You can also join through the website by clicking here.

     
    I would like to volunteer my time to the church. How do I find out what help is needed? 
        Contact the office or the ministry you are interested in directly. 

     
    How do I get my child baptized at IHM/SJW? 
         Contact Amy Wojcikowski at 315-451-5070 or email faithformation@ihmsjw.org to make arrangements.  The godparents must be practicing Catholics. Godparents that are not members of IHM/SJW must obtain a sponsor certificate from their home parish.

     
    How do I get married at IHM/SJW? 
        To celebrate the sacrament of marriage, please contact the parish office to make an appointment to see the priest or deacon at least six months beforehand. At least one party must be a Catholic. 

     
    How do I schedule a funeral at IHM/SJW? 
        Contact a funeral home to schedule a Funeral Masses at either parish. 
        A Memorial Mass, in memory of someone who has passed away, may be arranged by contacting the parish office (IHM) 315-451-5070 or (SJW) 315-457-6060.

     

    I am experiencing personal or family issues. Is there someone I can talk to? 
        Yes, someone would be happy to talk with you. Please contact the parish office to make an appointment with one of our clergy or email them directly. Click here

     
    May I receive Communion without going to confession?
              If one is not in mortal sin, one is allowed to receive Communion. We're all encouraged to participate in the sacrament of reconciliation at least once a year. This is historically known as Easter Duty.
     

    I would like a priest or deacon to visit my house. What do I do?
              Please contact the parish office or email one of our clergy directly. Click here

     
    I would like a priest or deacon to visit someone in the hospital. What do I do?
              Clergy attempts to visit each hospital once a week.  You may contact the office if you need immediate attention. 

     
    How do I add a loved one to the sick list?
              If you would like to have the parish pray for someone who is ill please contact the office.

     
    I am too ill to come to church. Can someone bring me the Eucharist?
              Contact Dc. Steve Manzene at 315-766-7264 to make arrangements.

     
    How do I arrange for last rites?
              Last rites are now known as Anointing of the Sick and may be given anytime to a person is suffering from a serious illness. You do not need to wait until your loved one is near death to request the Sacrament.
     

    I am a member of another faith. How do I become a Catholic?
              Contact Mike Tubbert at 315-451-5070 or email  rcia@ihmsjw.org for faith inquiry classes. This will help you learn about what it means to be a Catholic.

     
    How do I become a Eucharistic Minister or Lector?
              Eucharist ministers help during Mass by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ. Lectors read the first two readings and the Prayers of the Faithful. Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors need only to be confirmed and commissioned. Contact the offices for information on training which takes place in the fall.

     
    How can a child or an adult become an Altar Server?
              Children must be at least in fourth-grade.  Training and commissioning takes place in the fall.  Click here to sign up.

     
    How do I get my marriage annulled?
              Annulment is a determination that a marriage was never valid in the eyes of the church. It is a two-step process. First a fact sheet must be filled out. This will be followed by a detailed inquiry into the circumstances of the marriage. Contact the parish office to make an appointment with our priest to learn more about annulment.

     
    What do Catholics believe?
              There are many resources to learn the beliefs of the Catholic church. The beliefs are best summarized in the Nicean Creed. To read it, click here.     How do I learn more about becoming a priest or a nun?
